What started as a small local project quickly revealed a much larger need. So they grew. To date, thousands of backpacks have been distributed to Tri-Cities students — and every year, the effort expands.
For George and Andrea, this isn’t a marketing campaign — it’s personal. They believe a child’s financial circumstances should never limit what they’re able to achieve in the classroom. Every backpack is a direct investment in the future of this community.
Because the Tri-Cities has given so much to them — it’s only right to give it back.
The Backpack Project is a celebration of community, and we want to make it a day families remember. Our goal is to dontate over 1,000 backpacks to our K-12 local community.
This year, we’re making it extra special for parents. While you’re here, enter for a chance to win incredible prizes, including:
– Two 90-qt Igloo Cooler — perfect for summer get-togethers.
– Day Pass to Pasco Aquatic Center — a day of fun in the sun for the whole family.
– Full Day Experience for the Whole Family at the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo — complete with carnival wristbands and a parking pass.
See you in Richland, on August 21st, 2026.
